Rules for Participation in JuMP Productions:

Cast members are allowed a pre-set number of misses from rehearsals until the no miss date. These dates will be provided to cast at the parent meeting/First cast rehearsal and read through (usually Monday night following auditions). Beginning on the no miss date, absences, tardies, and leaving early is unacceptable and grounds for dismissal.  Three tardies constitutes a miss.

Parents must provide contact information so that they may be reached during rehearsals.

You must arrive on time and prepared for rehearsals and leave immediately following rehearsal. An adult volunteer will remain until the last cast members leaves, so please arrange transportation on time.

Rehearsals are closed to visitors. We appreciate and need the involvement of friends and families, but space and rehearsal time make it necessary that only cast members and adults directly involved in the production attend our rehearsals.

Only JuMP members whose dues are current and who are in good standing may audition.

Behavior Policy: (Three Strikes and You're Out)

Warning Status:  Repeated and disruptive and/or destructive and/or disrespectful behavior or general disciplinary problems by a JuMP Co. member during a JuMP Co. sponsored event or activity will result in their membership being placed in a WARNING STATUS. This status will remain in effect for a period of, but not to exceed, three months.  This is considered STRIKE ONE.  If there are no further disciplinary problems, the warning status will be removed after three months.

Probationary Status:  If a JuMP Co. member, whose membership is in the WARNING STATUS, continues to be a disciplinary problem, their parent(s) will be notified in writing to meet with two members of the Executive Board of Directors and their membership will be placed in a PROBATIONARY STATUS for an additional three months.  This is considered STRIKE TWO.

Termination of Membership:  If and when a JuMP Co. member's name, whose membership is in the PROBATIONARY STATUS, is brought before the Board of Directors because of disciplinary problems, this will result in a vote of removal by the board.  If the Board voted in the majority for removal, the member will receive inwriting a TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP within 5 days of the meeting.  They will no longer be allowed into a JuMP Co. sponsored activity.  This is considered STRIKE THREE.  Membership can be reinstated after three months following a meeting between the JuMP Co. member, parent(s), and two members of the Executive Board of Directors, and an approval vote by a majority of the Board of Directors.

Substance Abuse Policy: JuMP Company has a ZERO tolerance policy for substance abuse.  That is, no use or distribution of tobacco, alcohol, illegal drugs, recreational misuse of prescription drugs or inhalents will be tolerated at JuMP Co. activities or events.  If it is determined by two JuMP Co. Board of Directors that a JuMP Co. member is in violation of the policy, his or her parent(s) will be called and he or she will be removed from JuMP Co.  In addition, the appropriate law enforcement agency will be notified at the time of the suspected occurance. A member removed under this policy may not return for a period of no less than 12 months.  At that time, they must supply a drug evaluation by a recognized authority stating they are not using the above listed substances. JuMP members with their parent(s) may have the opportunity to petition the Board of Directors for reinstatement within 7 days of the suspected occurance with a physician's statement.
